how retarded. and the fact that people havent posted a single thing about it, hurts me DEEPLY cuz its dillemas like these that should be adressed and possibly stopped from happening.i mean is that what it has come to? if there is a god (God) then he gave us the beautiful thing of an imagination why not use it? when created a couple of decades ago luxembourg picked some delegates MAYBE some drop out designers to come up with a color/designs for the Luxembourgish flag. after much contemplating they were stumped and didnt know what to do. some sugested a little wackiness like a table cloth design but the politians wanted to be taken seriously. so some suggested to put a portrait of their graeatest hero from the war, lux, with a blue background. sort of like che but more democratic. BUT some people thought it was too direct, they didnt want to be FEARED. so finally after a couple of hours one of the obeise politians with a heart condition (berg) looked to his left and said "ha. the french..." then he suddenly turned to everybody and said "ive got it!" he pulled out his pad and pen and drew the french flag and slowly turned it 90 degrees to the left. "waaa...genius" one designer commented in amazement. "its a historical day". indeed it was a historical day for it was the day that luxembourg stripped another country of its flag and modified it. it wasnt until after 2 years that they realized had they had a LIGHTER blue they would have, infact, come across a REAL dillema. THEN what would they have done? well no thinkin about it now we were lucky the two countries might have gone to war. netherlands and luxembourg have a harsh and violent history but it all ended up well and the human race avoided yet another world war. let's just hope no other country attempts to get as creative as the luxembourgans cuz lets face it that type of genius swings around only every century...oh wait. almost forgot. belgium...
theyre not exactly the same. i am color blind and that may be it but the dutch flag's blue looks lighter than the luxembourg flag
